Cale Simons began his racing career at the Albany Speedway when he was 12 years old. He went on to win the Track Championship for Legends in 2000. In 2001 he moved into the late models where he won his first two races and became the youngest driver, at 15, to win a late model event as well as the first driver to win a NLMS race in his first start. He is now currently a student at Auburn University pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering. He hopes to graduate in the fall of 2009. |
With the continuing help from the pit crew, his dad James Simons, John King, and Mike Heard, Cale plans a part-time schedule for the 2008 NLMS season. Cale is thankful for Southway Industrial Service as a sponsor as well as for all the help received from Roll Control Shocks, GRT chassis, and Wildcat Performance Race Engines
